Return and refund policy

Furniture4me wants every customer to feel confident ordering furniture online. This page explains how returns, refunds, and delivery issues are handled. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Returns and change of mind

You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order.

For change-of-mind returns (where the item is not faulty, damaged, or incorrect):

  • Day 0–14 after delivery: no restocking fee is charged. You pay the cost of return shipping.
  • Day 15–30 after delivery: a 15% restocking fee is deducted from your refund (based on the product price), and you are responsible for the cost of return shipping.

Condition of returned items

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

  • Unassembled and unused beyond normal inspection
  • Complete with all parts, fittings, and instructions
  • In its original packaging (or packaging that provides equivalent protection)
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

How to start a return

To request a return, email support@furniture4me.co.uk with:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you want to return
  • Your delivery postcode
  • The reason for return (optional)

If your return is approved, you will receive clear instructions on how and where to send the item, or how collection will be arranged (depending on the product size).

Items sent back without requesting a return first may not be accepted.

Return delivery and collection costs

Change-of-mind returns (0–30 days): you are responsible for the cost of return delivery or collection, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items: if your item is confirmed as faulty, damaged in transit, or incorrect, return delivery or collection is free of charge, and no restocking fee is applied.

Damaged, faulty, or incorrect items

Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and contact support@furniture4me.co.uk if:

  • Your item arrives damaged
  • You receive the wrong item
  • An item is faulty

To help us resolve the issue quickly, please include photos of:

  • The damage or fault
  • The outer packaging (if applicable)
  • The product label (if available)

We will offer an appropriate solution, such as a replacement, repair, replacement parts, or refund, depending on the situation.

Non-returnable items

Returns are not accepted for:

  • Made-to-order, customised, or personalised items (unless faulty or incorrect)
  • Items that have been assembled or show signs of use beyond normal inspection
  • Gift cards (if applicable)

If a product is marked as non-returnable at checkout, this will be clearly stated before you complete your purchase.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different item, please request a return (if eligible) and place a new order.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved or rejected.

If approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days. Banks and card providers may take additional time to post the refund to your account.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved and you have not received your refund, please contact support@furniture4me.co.uk.
